S5.4 Furniture

Effective Date: June 27, 2017
Last Reviewed: June 12, 2023

College furniture may not be removed from a student’s room, nor may common area furniture be appropriated for a student’s exclusive use and moved from lounges to a student’s private room.

The College provides lounge furniture for interior use only and students should recognize that exterior use and movement tend to damage furniture. Therefore, houses, suites, or individuals may not move College furniture outside of the building for any purpose.

No personal furniture will be allowed in the common areas of any residence halls.

Students are limited to three cushions of personal furniture in their room. All furniture within the residence hall must adhere to the published fire safety regulations. Lofts are prohibited unless provided by the College.

Students who violate the furniture policy will be subject to removal of the furniture and fined an amount determined by the Director of Residence Life.
