E3.1 Equal Employment Opportunity

The College is committed to providing a work environment that is free of discrimination. All employees and applicants will be treated fairly, equitably, and with courtesy. Equal Employment Opportunity shall be provided for all employees and applicants for employment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, disability, age, veteran status, marital status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other legally protected status origin. This Policy shall at all times be interpreted consistent with the College’s Nondiscrimination Statement as adopted by its Board of Trustees.

The Office of the General Counsel shall publish procedures which address the investigation of complaints of sexual harassment or discrimination. These procedures shall be used in conjunction with polices E03.1 and E03.35. The College shall publish its statement of nondiscrimination on its website and shall provide annually to employees (and upon hire to new employees) a written copy of its nondiscrimination statement, the process for filing complaints, and the work address and telephone numbers of persons to whom complaints shall be made.
