E3.33 Voting

Effective Date: August 30, 2019

Whereas Stonehill College appreciates the importance of employees voting, on the day of a local, state, or federal election, employees may automatically arrive at work 30 minutes after they are scheduled to begin work in order to vote without using paid time off.

Generally, polling hours are set so that there is ample time for voting either before or after working hours. However, employees who need additional time off in order to vote may receive permission from their supervisor to use an additional 90 minutes of release time without using paid time off.

Voting time does not include time to campaign for or support a candidate or ballot question. Any accrued vacation, bonus, or personal time must be used for campaign activity.
