S2.1 Privacy and Confidentiality

Stonehill College complies with all applicable Federal and Massachusetts General Laws, regulations, and guidelines regarding confidentiality. All information about students (current or past) is strictly confidential and will not be shared or discussed with any unauthorized parties.

If a student is under 18 years of age, Health Services and Counseling Services may disclose requested information to the parents or legal guardian of the student.

If a student is over 18 years of age, Health Services and Counseling Services will not disclose any information without the student’s written permission to do so, unless it is permitted as an exception consistent with the law.

The Division of Student Affairs maintains procedures regarding the disclosure of information specific to student health and safety.
