Certain items are prohibited because of health, fire, or safety reasons; city, state, or federal law; or College policy. Prohibited items discovered by College personnel are subject to confiscation.
Confiscated items may be returned to the owner at the end of the semester (or earlier by arrangement with the Residence Director of the respective area) provided that the items are removed from campus immediately and not returned to the premises. Illegal items (such as controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, weapons, etc.) will not be returned. Alcohol confiscated during a violation of Community Standards may also be subject to disposal.
Unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of each semester without notification. The College is not responsible for compensating the owner for any discarded item.
