The College provides eligible employees who work at least six (6) consecutive hours a sixty (60) minute unpaid meal break. The sixty (60) minute meal break is to be taken at one time unless the College has accommodated the specific needs of an employee.
The College also allows all employees who work at least four (4) consecutive hours a fifteen (15) minute paid break, as dictated by the operational needs of the department and College. Because this is a paid break, employees should remain on College premises during this break time. Employees are not permitted to use the fifteen (15) minute break to offset late arrival or early departure or to extend a meal break. This break is not a legal requirement and therefore, the College reserves the right to eliminate the fifteen (15) minute break at any time due to operational needs.
